Dr Neumar Robert is Professor and Chair of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, and is the immediate past Chair of the American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee. He has over 20 years of research experience in cardiac arrest resuscitation, with international recognition as an expert in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), the pathophysiology and treatment of post-cardiac arrest syndrome. His laboratory research has focused on mechanisms of brain injury caused by cardiac arrest and on neuroprotective strategies including hypothermic-targeted temperature management.
